Interveiw with Heather Wurl Heather Wurl is a learning resource center assistant at Sweet Home High School. She is a wife and a mother of three, two boys in college and one girl in middle school. She also is in college online to earn her teaching licence to become a full-time learning resource teacher. Here’s what she had to say about teaching, her experience, and what it's like teaching in Sweet Home. Q: What led you to become an educator in Sweet Home? I started at Sweet Home High School by chance. I was skeptical about working at a high school after working at an elementary school for so long. But it wasn't long before I knew that working at a high school is exactly what I was meant to do. But I wanted more. I started college to fulfill my dreams of becoming a special education teacher. Following its season one success, including winning five Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for Best TV Drama, “The Pitt” wrapped up season two with its finale on HBO Max earlier this month.   The season two finale aired on April 16. This season, although very different, lived up to the standards set by the previous season and once again featured stars Noah Wyle, Shawn Hatosy, Patrick Ball, Lisa Barone, and Gerran Howell.  The show is set in a Pittsburgh medical center.  What's unique about this story arc is that the characters feel real, and the show feels like it could be real. We get an insight into not only the character's lives, but also their work. It makes you think more about health care workers and the things they go through, specifically in emergency medicine. The more recent episode picked up where the previous one left off on the Fourth of July, with Dr. Robby (Wyle) talking to Dr. Al-Hashimi (Sepideh Moafi) about her seizures.  For most people, graduating from high school is a big deal. It marks the closing of one chapter and the beginning of the next one. The day before graduation, there was a rehearsal, which was mandatory. It was bright and hot, the kind of hot where you can barely function. You get a sunburn even if you wear sunscreen.  My classmates and I rowed up in alphabetical order. My best friend was three people away from me. We talked as we waited for the music to start for us to do our walk-through. I was wedged in between two boys. The one in front of me was a blonde-haired, scrawny kid, and the guy behind me couldn't find a shirt. The principal came over and told him to go put a shirt on, and he did.  We walked through the ceremony about three times,s and then we stayed at the field for our last sunset of senior year.  The next day was graduation day, and it was even hotter than the day before.
